A handful of OSU alums made big plays this weekend. Here are the top highlights from former Cowboys in the NFL from Week 6.

Amen Gets the QB

Former OSU linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga logged a sack in the Bears’ 35-16 win over Jacksonville in London.

It was the fourth sack of the game by the Bears but the first on backup QB Mac Jones. It’s Ogbongbemiga’s second career sack and first since coming to Chicago this past offseason.

Amen and the Bears head into a bye week before they face the Washington Commanders on Oct. 27.

Malcolm Rodriguez Takes It Back

Rodrigo always seems to be in the right place at the right time. This time, he was able to drive the final coffin nail in on an absolutely thumping of the Dallas Cowboys.

Rodriguez fell on this fumble, securing the fifth turnover by the Detroit Lions’ defense in a 47-9 thrashing of the Cowboys on their home field. To go along with it, he added three solo tackles.

The Lions are just one-half game behind Minnesota for the NFC North lead, and they’re headed to the Twin Cities to try to leapfrog from the Vikings when the teams meet up Sunday at noon CST.

Teven Jenkins Gets It Back

Offensive linemen don’t get many opportunities to make the highlight reel, but Jenkins did his part to protect Chicago rookie QB Caleb Williams during the Bears’ 35-16 win over the Jaguars. Jenkins also recovered fumble.

Strangely, enough his two fumbles recovered ties for second in the NFL thus far. Not exactly the most enviable stat for on O-lineman, but it’s good Jenkins has his head on a swivel.

Chuba Productive and Consistent

Chuba Hubbard has now rushed for at least 90 yards in four consecutive games, and he has added at least four catches in the past five. He’s third in the NFL in rushing yards and fourth in yards from scrimmage.

In addition to his big numbers and occasional highlights, Chuba is garnering plenty of praise for his dedication off the field. Here’s Panthers’ head coach Dave Canales.

While Chuba has been showing out, his Panthers have not. With the loss, Carolina falls to 1-5. The Panthers will try to break a three-game skid when they head to D.C. to take on the Commanders at 3 p.m. Sunday.
