Four-star Class of 2024 basketball recruit David Castillo out of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, announced on Saturday that he is ending his recruitment this week and making a long-awaited decision about where he’ll play his college ball. Castillo, a top-50 consensus recruit and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Oklahoma, is set to decide on Tuesday between more than a dozen offers where he will commit. The decision will land at 3 p.m.

Castillo made an official visit to Oklahoma State last fall and the Cowboys are among the finalists to land him, though Kansas State, Kansas, Arkansas and Florida also loom large. The Wildcats are the current crystal ball favorite, as they’ve picked up momentum in recent days as he’s neared the end of his recruitment.

OSU became Castillo’s first power conference offer in the spring of 2021 and has been a major player in his recruitment throughout the process. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound scoring guard in that span has risen from an unranked recruit to a four-star, top-30 prospect at 247Sports.

Castillo appears to be trending toward Kansas State, but he is not the only in-state target OSU is in the mix to land at the guard spot. Dale recruit Dayton Forsythe, who dominated at the Tournament of Champions, is also very much on OSU’s radar after a breakout spring. Forsythe has not yet set a date for his decision.
