Football
Notebook: Oklahoma State-Kansas
I’m sort of shrugging my shoulders about whether to even include any stuff about the football game itself on the blog right now, but here were a few leftovers that didn’t make my 10 thoughts from earlier.
• The helmets were unbelievable. I’m going to have to take a long look in the mirror at the end of the season when I rank OSU’s lids again.
Here's a better look at the #okstate throwback helmets. They're really cool. pic.twitter.com/Sa6SOh7ANU

• Why did the announcers (and all announcers) keep referencing OSU’s offense as “an explosive offense”? Do they do that little homework before games? Also, why did Tim Brando keep calling OSU’s head coach “Mike Gun-DAY”?
• What?

• Mason Rudolph has gotten (secretly) good at knowing when to tuck it and run. I don’t know if that’s the best or worst thing ever.
• This was great.
• My favorite part of the game was FS1 keeping Mike Pereira on for multiple questions that may or may not have had to do with his area of expertise during a liver football game.
• Thing I didn’t know: Todd Monken’s brother is the head coach at Army.
• Want.
• Yes it is, even against Kansas.
Pleasing run game is pleasing.

• This is awesome. Yurcich has done a good job with misdirection in the last few games.
• Gundy went visor halfway through the fourth. I’m surprised he didn’t add in the folding chair.
• How do we petition the NCAA to get a few of these points to count for football?
• Ryan Willis sort of has a cannon. I’m not sure he always knows which direction it’s pointed, but he can throw it a little bit.
• This is impressive. That’s a strange, good collection of teams.
