What Number will Tyron Johnson wear for Oklahoma State?
In case you haven’t heard about OSU’s big addition over the weekend, former five-star receiver and LSU freshman transfer Tyron Johnson pledged to the Cowboys over the weekend. The former Warren Easton High School standout will be forced to sit out the upcoming season due to NCAA transfer requirements, but will have three years to play out his remaining eligibility.
Johnson wore No. 3 for LSU last season, and also wore No. 3 some in high school, too. But his dominant number in high school, and the Under Armour All-American game was No. 13 — the number he will wear at OSU. (Also, because senior receiver Marcell Ateman wears 3 already.)
Jordan Sterns reps No. 13 for the defense, and Nyc Burns, freshman quarterback from Berryhill, wears No. 13. So Burns will slide from 13 to 12, a number repped by a guy he may know a little about. This from his dad was posted to twitter:
Hey @NYCQB13, #12 is going to look GOOD on you! #NYCQB12 pic.twitter.com/oXuwv8gfBV
