Oklahoma State and Joe Wickline Have a Trial Date Set for March 2016 (for Real)
Will Charlie Strong forget his QB’s first name again?
It feels like this post has been written 10 times already, but it hasn’t. Joe Wickline and Oklahoma State are headed to trial in March of 2016. For real.
The decision sets the stage for an intriguing courtroom drama in Stillwater, Okla., home of the Cowboys. Texas coaches Charlie Strong, quarterback coach Shawn Watson and Wickline will be called to testify under oath who really called plays for the Longhorns last season.
“There are genuine issues of material fact that justify a trial,” Judge Stephen Kistler wrote in a court document released Monday. “Neither party is entitled to judgement as a matter of law.”
It’s sort of embarrassing for everyone involved that this hasn’t been resolved but mostly for Wickline and especially for Texas. Boone Daddy agrees.

The best part is that the trial will take place in Payne County. If interim Texas AD Mike Perrin is smart, he’ll sell a couple of 30-minute blocks on the Longhorn Network and make this go away before Texas’ bowl game Wickline starts recruiting at the end of the season.
I’m hopeful he doesn’t just so we can see Charlie Strong forget his QB’s name in court again.
