The Cowboys will head up to Wisconsin in late October for a tune-up against an NCAA Tournament regular.

Wisconsin released its nonconference basketball schedule on Monday, revealing that the Badgers are set to host Oklahoma State on Oct. 27 for an exhibition game.

Last year’s exhibition against Auburn had Cowboy fans foaming at the mouth for the start of the season, when three Pokes scored more than 20 points en route to a 97-95 win for the Cowboys. It wasn’t exactly all up from there, but it did provide some early juice for the fanbase entering the season.

Wisconsin has made the past three NCAA Tournaments and has taken part in 25 NCAA Tournaments since 1999.

Like most college teams (regardless of sport), the Badgers have had some turnover in their roster this offseason, but they do return Nolan Winter — a 7-footer who averaged 13.1 points and 8.5 rebounds a game last season. Austin Rapp also returns after scoring 9.7 points a game last season while shooting 36% from 3.

Among Wisconsin’s portal additions are Eian Elmer and Trey Autry. Elmer averaged 12.7 points a game at Miami (OH) last season while hitting 43% of his 3-point attempts. Autry averaged 11 at George Washington while shooting 39% from 3.

That pails in comparison to the roster turnover the Cowboys experienced this offseason, as Steve Lutz has just four players left over from last season’s team. But that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. 247Sports ranks OSU’s portal class 25th nationally, while On3 has the Pokes’ class sitting 14th.

OSU hasn’t officially announced its full noncon slate yet, but Field of 68 contributor Rocco Miller says it’ll look like the following:

Nov. 2 vs Incarnate Word
Nov. 6 vs Queens
Nov. 12 at Texas A&M
Nov. 16 vs Central Arkansas
Nov. 20 in Charleston, South Carolina vs Virginia Tech OR Minnesota
Nov. 22 in Charleston, South Carolina vs Virginia Tech OR Minnesota
Nov. 25 vs Jackson State
Nov. 29 vs Tennessee State
Dec. 2 vs Grand Canyon
Dec. 5 vs Saint Mary’s
Dec. 12 in OKC vs Oklahoma
Dec. 16 vs Oral Roberts
Dec. 20 in OKC vs Northwestern
Dec. 29 vs Houston Christian
