Oklahoma State draws UConn in 2016 Maui Invitational
On Tuesday, the Maui Invitational released their 2016 bracket, and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will face Kevin Ollie and the Connecticut Huskies in the first round of the tournament. UConn went 25-11 in 2015-2016, winning the American Atlantic Conference and making the second round of the NCAA tournament before getting bounced by Kansas. Connecticut will bolster their returning core with the No. 9 ranked recruiting class in the nation in 2016, according to Rivals.

Also on the Cowboys’ side of the bracket is national runner-up North Carolina, who will face host school Chaminade in the first round. In a loaded Maui Invitational field, the Cowboys ended up on the tougher side of the bracket. Brad Underwood will learn a lot about his young team in November, as four pre-season top 25 teams and two No. 1 seeds from last year’s NCAA tournament are in Maui this year.
The game is scheduled for November 21st at 4:00 p.m. HT (8:00 p.m. CST) and will air on ESPNU.
