Oklahoma State Favored by 6 Over Virginia Tech in Camping World Bowl

Oklahoma State is a near touchdown favorite over the Hokies of Virginia Tech in the Camping World Bowl, according to lines from Las Vegas Superbook as relayed by the great Brett McMurphy.

The spread is among the highest of the more intriguing bowl games, along with Ohio State -7 vs. USC in the Cotton, Florida State -15 (!!) vs. Southern Miss in the Independence, and Auburn -10 vs. UCF in the Peach.

Although Oklahoma State finished the season 9-3 despite being favored in each of its games, the Cowboys have been good (not great) against the Vegas spread this season. In 12 of its games, OSU covered the spread as a favorite.

Virginia Tech, on the other hand, was an underdog in just two games this season — against Miami and against Clemson. Both resulted in double digit losses and failing to cover the spread, which seems to bode well for the Pokes.
