STILLWATER — On Wednesday Oklahoma State coach Eric Morris recognized a new partnership between Cowboy football and Monarc.

Monarc is a tech company that touts its Seeker as “the world’s first robotic QB & practice automation solution.”

It is essentially a JUGS machine that can be extremely fine-tuned to throw precise routes and modified to emulate certain quarterback tendencies including time of the release and speed of the ball through the air.

While not as headline-grabbing the Seeker can also be used to simulate punters as well. At first-glance the main beneficiary of this device will be Oklahoma State’s skill players, but it should also help quarterback Drew Mestemaker avoid over-working his arm headed into the season this fall.
