Oklahoma State Gets Three on Preseason All-Big 12 Team
Big 12 media members have picked their preseason All-Big 12 teams, and Oklahoma State has just three representatives total on the teams.
James Washington joins KD Cannon and Allen Lazard on the 13-player offense. Vincent Taylor and Jordan Sterns are on the 15-player defense. You can see the full teams here.
And here is the breakdown by school (how about Baylor with just two and Kansas State with five!):
Preseason All-Big 12 selections by team:
Oklahoma 9
K-State 5
Texas 4#OKState 3
TCU 3
Baylor 2
Iowa State 2
WVU 2
Texas Tech 1
Kansas 0— Mark Cooper (@mark_cooperjr) July 13, 2016
Last year OSU also had three players on the team (Emmanuel Ogbah, Kevin Peterson and Ryan Simmons). The Big 12 OPOY this time around is Baker Mayfield. DPOY is Malik Jefferson. Newcomer is Kenny Hill.
Interestingly the only player on both the 2015 preseason All-Big 12 team and 2016 preseason All-Big 12 team was Samaje Perine.
The 15-player defense is great by the way. Would be tough to score on.
