Oklahoma State Hosting Robust List of Hoops Recruits for Homecoming

Some big names will be on hand for Homecoming this weekend.

Oklahoma State’s basketball program under Mike Boynton has taken advantages of big-time recruiting opportunities at nearly every turn since he took over the program.

Earlier this season, for instance, the staff hosted a number of visitors — among them Marcus Watson, Avery Anderson, Kalib and Keylan Boone, etc. — during OSU’s impressive rout of Boise State on the gridiron. It turned out to be a raucous atmosphere with positive vibes all the way around, and it put most of OSU’s 2019 targets in the same spot to enjoy it with one another.

This weekend’s festivities are no different. With fans buzzing about Stillwater on Friday and Saturday for homecoming, OSU is expected to again take advantage with another blowout recruiting weekend. Here’s who we expect to be on campus, with notations for official/unofficial visits.

  • Class of 2019 commit: Kalib Boone (unofficial)
  • Class of 2019 commit: Keylan Boone (unofficial)
  • Class of 2020: Mike Miles (unofficial)
  • Class of 2020: Bryce Thompson (unofficial)
  • Class of 2020: Davonte Davis (official)
  • Class of 2020: Rondel Walker (unofficial)
  • Class of 2020: Henry Coleman (official)
  • Class of 2021: Devon Barnes (unofficial)
  • Class of 2021: Trey Alexander (unofficial)
  • Class of 2021: Bijan Cortes (unofficial)
  • Class of 2021: Brayon Freeman (unofficial)
  • Class of 2021: Wade Taylor (unofficial)

The big event to watch for this weekend will be Friday night’s Homecoming and Hoops action. I’ve gathered that most — if not all — of this list will be on hand for the event, with official visitors all likely to stay Saturday for the big game against Texas.

OSU added Marcus Watson to its 2019 class over the weekend, likely putting a bow on the 2019 class on the whole, but as you can see with Bryce Thompson, Davonte Davis, Rondel Walker and others, the staff is already prepping well in advance for 2020 as they look to get an early jump on the big targets still on the board.
