Oklahoma State Lands Three on 2017 ESPN All-Big 12 Team
ESPN has released its All-Big 12 team for 2017, and three Pokes made the list. James Washington at wide receiver, Brad Lundblade at center and Justice Hill at running back.
Washington has 69 catches for 1,429 yards and 12 TDs. He led the league in both yards per game and yards per catch (among players with 40 or more catches) with 119 yards and 20.6 yards respectively.
| Player | Team | YPG |
|---|---|---|
| James Washington | Okla St | 118.6 |
| Keke Coutee | Texas Tech | 103.5 |
| Denzel Mims | Baylor | 90.6 |
| Marcell Ateman | Okla St | 87.4 |
| Gary Jennings | WVU | 85.8 |
| Marquise Brown | Oklahoma | 81.8 |
| David Sills V | WVU | 81.7 |
| Ka’Raun White | WVU | 81.5 |
| Steven Sims Jr. | Kansas | 69.9 |
| Mark Andrews | Oklahoma | 69.7 |
Hill also led the Big 12 in yards per game (by even more than Washington did).
| Player | Team | YPG |
|---|---|---|
| Justice Hill | Okla St | 112.3 |
| David Montgomery | Iowa State | 91.2 |
| Justin Crawford | WVU | 88.4 |
| Darius Anderson | TCU | 76.8 |
| Rodney Anderson | Oklahoma | 73.9 |
| Justin Stockton | Texas Tech | 69.4 |
| Khalil Herbert | Kansas | 60.3 |
| Alex Barnes | Kansas St | 58.5 |
| Trey Sermon | Oklahoma | 54.6 |
| Kyle Hicks | TCU | 54.3 |
| Kennedy McKoy | WVU | 51.4 |
I’m a little bit surprised Marcell Ateman hasn’t really been included on many of these teams. It’s a shame, too. If James Washington wasn’t lining up on the other side of him, not only would he be an All-Big 12 player, but he’d probably be an All-American candidate.
Here’s a full look at the teams.
