Oklahoma State Offers 2017 Dual Threat QB from Georgia
Interestingly, Oklahoma State seems to be targeting dual-threat quarterbacks more and more as Mike Gundy’s tenure has progressed. The Cowboys signed under-the-radar quarterback Keondre Wudtee in the 2016 class, and they are making a move for a 2017 quarterback from Ellenwood, GA in Jelani Woods.

Woods is listed as a 6-foot-7 (!!), 225-pound quarterback with offers from Michigan, South Carolina, Louisville, and others. He has tremendous athleticism and throws a pretty nice deep ball, but it appears he is used almost exclusively in the wildcat as a running back – and he’s a home run threat out of the backfield. The few times he does throw the ball on film, he seems to spin the ball fairly well. There’s no denying his ability as a runner, but it’s somewhat of an interesting move for OSU’s staff, especially given the offense they claim to run is an air-raid.
