Oklahoma State Offers 2023 Quarterback Christopher Vizzina

Already having a commitment in the 2022 class, Tim Rattay made a move into 2023 on Friday.

Rising junior quarterback Christopher Vizzina announced an Oklahoma State offer Wednesday.

Who Is He?

Listed at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, Vizzina plays at Briarwood Christian in Birmingham, Alabama. As a sophomore this past season, Vizzina led Briarwood to a 8-4 record.

Vizzina has good arm strength and can make myriad throws. He seems to have a good understanding of the game, as well. Despite his young age, Vizzina’s highlights showed he is comfortable checking down if a deep ball isn’t there.

He has a “pro-style quarterback” label, but Briarwood’s offense often called for Vizzina to get out of the pocket with bootlegs, read options and even the occasional speed option.

OSU is Vizzina’s 10th DI offer. He has a strong offer list, but college football’s elites haven’t quite jumped in yet.

Apart from OSU, Vizzina has offers from Houston, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Troy and UAB.

Vizzina is a three-star prospect and listed as the No. 36 quarterback in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports. That makes him the No. 23 prospect from Alabama in his cycle.
