Mike Boynton offered two Coppell Cowboys this week, hoping they soon turn into Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Ryan Agarwal and Anthony Black, both class of 2022 prospects, announced OSU offers Wednesday. The pair play together at Coppell High School and are also on the same travel team, 3D Hoops Academy.

Who Are They?

Agarwal is the higher-rated prospect of the two at 6-foot-6, 175 pounds.

Not to be outdone, Black is also a Power Five football prospect as a 6-foot-4, 180-pound wide receiver.

The duo led Coppell to a 29-6 record as sophomores this past season. The Cowboys made it to the area round of the Texas 6A postseason where they were knocked out by Waxahachie, a team that also has two OSU offers on it (Jalen Lake and CJ Noland).

Agarwal led Coppell in scoring as a sophomore with 16.9 points a game. Black averaged 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.3 steals.

Others Involved

OSU is the first high-major program to offer Agarwal, joining the likes of SMU, Creighton, Denver and Rice.

Black’s recruitment is interesting, as he has basketball offers from Baylor, Auburn, Texas, Texas Tech, TCU and others. But he also has football offers from Baylor, Iowa State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Arkansas, Houston, Utah and others.

In the Rankings

Despite having the more robust offer list, Black is ranked behind Agarwal on the hardwood.

The 247Sports composite system has Agarwal as the No. 98 player in the 2022 class and the No. 9 prospect from Texas. He is also a four-star recruit.

In basketball, Black is the No. 202 player in the 2022 class and a three-star prospect. In football he is also a three-star prospect and the No. 38 player in Texas.
