Oklahoma State Offers Pair of Four-Star High School Teammates
OSU offers two high school teammates from Florida.
Mike Boynton and Co. have been quiet in the 2024 recruiting class to this point, but that could be about to change.
A pair of high school teammates announced Oklahoma State offers the past few days with four-star big man Ryan Jones Jr. announcing his offer Sunday before guard Kameren Wright announced his offer Monday. The two attend The Rock School in Gainesville, Florida. Let’s take a look at each prospect.
Ryan Jones Jr.
The No. 58 player in the 247Sports Composite rankings, Jones is listed at 6-foot-8, 225 pounds entering his senior season of high school ball.
Jones has a strong offer list that includes Florida, LSU, Illinois, Texas A&M and others.
Jones is a stretch forward who has the frame to muscle his way to the rim but the skill to shoot the 3. Jones won a gold medal with USA Basketball at the 2021 FIBA Americas U16 Championship, where he averaged 5.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in less than seven minutes on the floor per game. He shot 44% from 3 during that tournament.
Kameren Wright
The secret might soon be out on Kameren Wright. Wright is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and On3, but ESPN recently gave him four-star status in updated rankings.
Wright’s climb has been steady this offseason, picking up offers from Missouri, Murray State, Marshall and now Oklahoma State. He also has offers to Dayton, Florida Atlantic and others.
Wright is listed at 6-foot-6, 180 pounds. He has a long frame and is a capable floor spacer and initiator.
