Oklahoma State Has One Representative in Super Bowl 50
There are 77 schools represented in Super Bowl 50. Oklahoma State is among them. Its lone rep is Antonio Smith who plays defensive end for the Denver Broncos. Smith has just nine tackles, three and a half sacks and two passes deflected in 18 games this season, but he did sack Tom Brady after talking trash about him before the AFC Championship.
Here’s the Colorado Springs Gazette with Smith’s take.
When asked if Brady is a crybaby, Smith replied: “That would be an accurate statement. I’ve never seen any quarterback look to the referee right after he gets sacked more than Brady. Every time he gets sacked he looks at the ref like, ‘You see him sack me? Was that supposed to happen? He did it a little hard. Please throw a 15-yard penalty on him. Get him fined.’ With Brady, he’s a great competitor. You know it’s coming. He’s going to cry about getting hit, but he’s going to take the hit and keep going.”
Smith and his teammates on the defensive line got the best of Tahhhmmmy on Sunday and now will have a Super Bowl appearance to prove it. Also of note, Smith got a shout from Mike Gundy on Twitter.
