Oklahoma State Ranked Fourth in TrackWrestling Preseason Rankings
Seven Cowboys ranked individually.
TrackWrestling announced its preseason rankings on Monday, and the Cowboys came in at the No. 4 spot as a team behind Iowa, Michigan and Penn State. The Pokes were just ahead of Nebraska to round out the top five.
Seven Cowboys were ranked in the individual rankings. They break out as follows:
- 125 — No. 18 Reece Witcraft
- 133 — No. 2 Daton Fix
- 141 — No. 11 Kaid Brock
- 149 — No. 4 Boo Lewallen
- 157 — No. 10 Wyatt Sheets
- 165 — No. 4 Travis Wittlake
- 174 — Unranked
- 184 — No. 7 Anthony Montalvo
- 197 — Unranked
- 285 — Unranked
Notably the publication lists Montalvo, who John Smith said might wind up at 174, as the 184-pounder. This also doesn’t include All-American Dakota Geer or standout true freshmen Dustin Plott and AJ Ferrari, who might factor into the lineup from 174-197.
OSU is the top ranked Big 12 program with Iowa State following at No. 9 and OU, a team tied at No. 19 with Missouri.
