Oklahoma State Releases Football Schedule for 2025 Season

The 2025 Big 12 schedules are finally here.

Oklahoma State was able to release its full schedule on Tuesday morning, which includes a trip to Oregon in the nonconference and seven games in Boone Pickens Stadium. Here is the full schedule with some further information about the Cowboys’ Big 12 foes.

vs. Baylor (Sept. 27): OSU is 24-19 against Baylor all-time, which includes a 14-7 record against the Bears in Stillwater. The teams played in Waco in 2024, where Baylor won 38-28.

The teams haven’t played in Stillwater since the 2021 season, a game OSU won 24-14, but Baylor got its revenge a few months later in the Big 12 Championship.

The Bears went 8-5 last season, winning six of their final seven games.

at Arizona (Oct. 4): This will be the Cowboys’ first meeting with Arizona as Big 12 foes, but the teams’ 10th meeting overall. OSU is 5-4 against Arizona.

OSU most recently played the Wildcats in 2010, 2011 and 2012 with OSU going 2-1 in that stretch. It started with the Alamo Bowl in 2010, where Brandon Weeden threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns to lead OSU to a 36-10 win. Justin Blackmon had 117 receiving yards and both touchdown receptions. The teams met in Stillwater in Week 2 of the 2011 season, where OSU won 37-14. Weeden threw for 397 yards, Blackmon had 128 receiving yards and Joseph Randle ran for 121 yards. The teams played in Arizona in 2012, where true freshman Wes Lunt threw for 436 yards and four touchdowns, but he also had three interceptions. The Wildcats won 59-38.

Arizona went 4-8 in 2024, the Wildcats’ first season under Brent Brennan. Arizona returns quarterback Noah Fifita in 2025, but his top target, Tetairoa McMillan, is NFL bound.

vs. Houston (Oct. 11): This will be Houston’s first trip to Stillwater as a Big 12 school, but it’ll be the Cougars’ 11th game in Stillwater overall. The series history is tied at 10-10-1 regardless of venue, and it’s 5-5 in games played in Stillwater.

The teams met as conference foes in Houston in 2023, where OSU won 43-30.

Houston went 4-8 last season, the Cougars’ first under Willie Fritz. Houston made some splashes in the transfer portal, most notably adding Texas A&M quarterback transfer Conner Weigman.

vs. Cincinnati (Oct. 18): This will be OSU’s homecoming game, and it’ll mark the second time Cincy has been to Stillwater in the past three seasons. The Bearcats traveled to Stillwater in 2023, a game OSU won 45-13. OSU is 3-1 against the Bearcats all time.

Cincy went 5-7 in 2024 and finished the year on a five-game losing streak.

at Texas Tech (Oct. 25): OSU hasn’t been to Lubbock since the 2021 season, where Jim Knowles’ defense shutout the Red Raiders 23-0. The two teams met in Stillwater this past season, and no one was close to a shutout, with Tech winning 56-48.

The series is tied 24-24-3, but OSU holds a 14-8 advantage in games played in Stillwater.

Tech went 8-5 this past season, the Red Raiders’ third under Joey McGuire. Tech has loaded up via the transfer portal thus far this offseason.

at Kansas (Nov. 1): The 2024 season was the first time the Cowboys and Jayhawks didn’t play a football game since 2009. OSU is 42-30-2 against KU in the series and 23-16-1 all-time in Lawrence.

The Jayhawks went 5-7 in 2024, Lance Leipold’s fourth with the Jayhawks. KU quarterback Jalon Daniels announced in December that he will return to Lawrence for the 2025 season.

vs. Kansas State (Nov. 15): The Wildcats beat OSU 42-20 in Manhattan this past season, trimming OSU’s series advantage to 43-28. OSU holds a 24-9 series record in games played in Stillwater.

K-State went 9-4 in 2024, and the Wildcats are set to return mobile quarterback Avery Johnson.

at UCF (Nov. 22): The Cowboys and Knights have met just once before … and it didn’t go well for the Pokes. UCF beat OSU 45-3 in Orlando during the 2023 season. It was the Space Game for the Knights, and aside from the cool uniforms and lopsided score, the game was known for a Florida monsoon rolling through.

UCF went 4-8 in 2024. Gus Malzahn resigned in Orlando to go be the offensive coordinator at Florida State. Scott Frost returns to UCF after coaching the Knights in 2016 and 2017, where he went 19-7, including a 13-0 2017 season.

Iowa State (Nov. 29): The Cyclones and Cowboys didn’t play in 2024, the first time since 2010 that has happened. OSU is 34-21-3 against ISU in the all-time series and 19-7-2 in Stillwater.

Iowa State went 11-3 in 2024, falling to Arizona State in the Big 12 title game before beating Miami in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
