Oklahoma State Softball Announces Spring Schedule

Kenny Gajewski’s Cowgirls have been to the past five Women’s College World Series. Their 2025 path to make it six in a row has been set.

Oklahoma State released its 2025 softball schedule on Tuesday, and it’s a fun one. Nearly 50% of OSU’s scheduled opponents were 2024 NCAA Tournament participant.

As is customary with spring sports, the Cowboys’ season starts somewhere where the weather is a little more predictable. OSU opens the year in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge from Feb. 6-8. While south of the border, OSU will play Florida State (twice), Louisiana Tech and Northern Colorado. OSU will then travel to Florida for the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational from Feb. 14-16. While in Florida, the Cowgirls will play UCLA, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Auburn and Alabama.

The nonconference events don’t stop there, though. From Feb. 21-23, OSU will be in Conway, Arkansas for the Michelle Shirt & Adam Brown Tournament. Then the Cowgirls will a short drive away in Wichita for the Shocker Invitational for two days at the end of February.

OSU’s first home games will be a March 2 doubleheader against Drake and Tulsa, the first of 17 games that are set to be played in Cowgirl Stadium.

Big 12 play starts March 7 when the Cowgirls head to Lubbock to play Texas Tech. The first home Big 12 series will start March 14 when Houston comes to town.

OSU also has some fun nonconference games scheduled against the likes of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Penn State and Oklahoma. The Bedlam game comes April 9 in Oklahoma City.
