We had kept up with a tentative 2026 roster on our forum for the better part of a month, but thankfully Oklahoma State football on Wednesday dropped its big update on Eric Morris’ first team.

That’s a list of 96 strong expected to participate in spring ball. OSU also released the following list of nine players who are expected to join the team this summer:

Name Pos. Height Weight Class Hometown/High School Former School

In total, the roster features 105 players — 49 on offense, 50 on defense and six specialist.

Of that group, 81 players are new to the program. Of the 24 returners, only four started at least four games in 2025.

Sixty-two of the newcomers are incoming transfers — 59 from four-year colleges and three from the JUCO level.

For having to rebuild basically an entire roster, Morris and Co. did a good job in spacing out eligibility. There are 33 seniors, 25 juniors, 20 sophomores and 27 freshmen.

Texas is the most prominently featured home state, as OSU’s roster hold 39 Texans. There are 21 Oklahomans on the roster. The only other state with more than five players is California with six.

A handful of the program’s incoming transfers weren’t previously made public. OSU added a pair of transfer tight ends in Carson Kolb (Oregon State) and Luke Logan (Memphis) — neither have a college catch. Linebacker Cooper Mailand is also on the roster, transferring from Wyoming. OSU also added kicker Joseph Kim (Houston/UCO) and punter Nate Ost (Ohio State/Robert Morris).

If you’ve been in the weeds of this roster construction, you’d know that defensive tackle Iman Oates is trying to get another year of eligibility after starting his college career at the JUCO level at NEO.

Morris mentioned Oates during his Wednesday news conference and afterward clarified his situation, saying it wasn’t official and that he has a waiver pending.
