Another former Cowboy is set to start his trip to the Majors.

Oklahoma State third baseman Aidan Meola inked a deal with the Colorado Rockies it was announced Tuesday as an undrafted free agent. This makes him the sixth Cowboy to hook up with a pro team after five Cowboys were selected in the 2026 MLB Draft this past weekend.

Meola dealt with injury issues at times during his five years in Stillwater, including an unceremonious ending to his final year. He was sidelined for the Tuscaloosa Regional with what was reported as a broken wrist. He last appeared against Kansas on May 22.

The fifth-year senior garnered Big 12 Player of the Week honors back in February for his dynamic performance in the series win over Grand Canyon which included home runs in all four games and 12 runs batted in. That included a grand slam to seal the win in Game 4.

Despite making only 50 appearances, Meola was second on the team with 17 home runs, behind only Kollin Ritchie, the Big 12’s leader. He was also second (and T5th in the league) with 69 runs batted in. In 2026, Meola batted .320, had an on-base percentage of .424 and posted a slugging percentage of .644. In five years at OSU, he turned in .316/.399/.583 and sent 32 bombs over the fence with 152 RBI.
