After hosting a regional the last three seasons, it looks like the Cowboys will be the road dogs this postseason.

Oklahoma State suffered a walk-off defeat on Thursday, ending its run through the Big 12 Championships after two games. Now the Cowboys await their postseason fate.

We’ll find out for sure where the Pokes are headed to start their potential Road to Omaha on Monday, but let’s see where the latest projections have them going as we head into the weekend.

Note: The locations may change as this weekend’s conference tournaments shake out, but this should give a good feel for where the Cowboys are expected to land in seeding.

Baseball America: Tallahassee Regional | 3 Seed

The No. 6 Seminoles are the 2 seed in the ACC Tournament and face 7 seed Duke on Friday afternoon for a chance at the semis.

Baseball America has the Cowboys projected as a 3 seed in field with FSU, Alabama (2), and Bethune-Cookman.

Hypothetically, it would be a nice venue that Cowboy fans haven’t seen in the postseason in some time even if it’s quite the trek. OSU played in the Tallahassee Regional back in 2004. OSU is 0-1 all-time against Florida State.

D1 Baseball: Atlanta Regional | 3 Seed

D1 Baseball’s most recent projection has the Cowboys going to Atlanta for a regional hosted by Georgia Tech that also features Florida and Murray State. The Cowboys are 3-2 all-time against the Yellowjackets. OSU coach Josh Holliday was an assistant at Georgia State from 2005 to 2007.

Florida won the Stillwater Regional last season. The Cowboys beat the Gators in the winners bracket before Florida beat OSU twice to close and eventually advance to Omaha.

Sports Grid: Tuscaloosa Regional | 3 Seed

This would also be a first-time regional spot for OSU.

Sports Grid projects OSU, again as a 3 seed, in the mix with Alabama (1), Dallas Baptist (2) and Oral Roberts (4).

OSU is 1-2 all-time against Alabama.

The full regional brackets will be announced on Monday, May 26 at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
