A few weeks ago, USA Wrestling announced Oklahoma State commit Trevor Mastrogiovanni landed a spot on the Junior Pan American team at 57 KG. The future Cowboy represented well.
#WrestleGuatemalaCity results at MFS 57 kg:

Mastrogiovanni, one big piece of that monster 2020 recruiting class the Cowboys have coming in next year, picked up a 10-0 tech in his first match over Luis Angel Mendoza Jimenez of Bolivia then faced his toughest match of the tournament against Canada’s Brayden Todd. In a back-and-forth barn burner, Mastrogiovanni edged Todd 11-10.

In the final, Mastrogiovanni dominated Colombia’s Elkin Espana Santa, getting up 9-1 before the break and picking up a quick takedown in the second to finish off the tournament with a 12-1 win.

One more title to add to the resume of a group that looks like it’s certain to be the No. 1 recruiting class in the country for 2020.
This is the second year in a row where a current/future Oklahoma State wrestler won at the Junior Pan Am’s. Austin Harris won both greco and freestyle last year at 97 KG.
