OSU Excluded from Coaches, AP Polls
After a somewhat non-decisive victory over Central Michigan on Thursday evening, Oklahoma State remained just outside the Coaches and Associated Press Top 25 polls released on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cowboys did receive 52 votes in the coaches poll, which would technically rank them at No. 28 nationally – but were also left off the AP top 25 poll.
It comes as no surprise that a victory over a MAC team would convince voters to move the Cowboys up. Regardless of what the metrics are based on, winning with style is the only way I can see the Cowboys jumping in the rankings until they hit Big 12 play at the end of the month.
They’ll have a chance to prove their worth again on Saturday evening as they take on Central Arkansas at Boone Pickens Stadium at 6:30pm.
