It’s Masters week.

The Masters Tournament will officially start Thursday before a new green jacket is awarded Sunday at Augusta National Golf Course in Augusta, Georgia. The biggest event in golf will include four former Oklahoma State golfers — all competing to win their first green jacket.

Here are the four Cowboys to look out for during the Masters.

Viktor Hovland

Viktor Hovland is actually a favorite to win the green jacket come Sunday, being ranked as high as the second-best golfer in the world in November. Hovland is no stranger to winning as last year’s PGA TOUR champion. Hovland has also found success at Augusta before in four trips. He was the low amateur in 2019, finishing three under par to tie for 32nd. He turned pro later that year. Hovland was also in contention throughout last year’s Masters Tournament, ultimately placing seventh.

Rickie Fowler

At 35, Rickie Fowler has the most experience of the group at the Masters in what will be his 11th trip to Augusta but first since 2020. His best finish was in 2018, when he was runner-up. He also placed fifth in 2014.

Fowler knows the course well, though, so despite being overlooked by most during a down season, he could be a wild card to contend deep into the weekend. He’s finished in the top 12 in five of his past seven starts at the Masters.

Austin Eckroat

Austin Eckroat will be making his Masters debut this week. He qualified for the event after notching his first TOUR win at the Cognizant Classic early last month. Eckroat also finished in the top 10 at the U.S. Open last year for his best finish at a major.

Wyndham Clark

Claim Wyndham Clark if you want after he eventually transferred to Oregon to finish his collegiate career.

Clark will also be competing in his first Masters Tournament since turning pro in 2018. He’s coming off an impressive 2023, during which he tallied his first TOUR win at the Wells Fargo Championship before winning his first major at the 2023 U.S. Open. the next month.
