OSU Makes Top 6 for Four-Star Prospect Aidan Shaw
Shaw visited Stillwater in June.
One of the Cowboys’ top targets in the 2022 class trimmed his list Wednesday, and the Pokes are still in the mix.
Aidan Shaw, a 6-foot-8 small forward from Stillwell, Kansas, is down to six: Oklahoma State, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Maryland.
The Cowboys offered Shaw way back in 2019, the September of his freshman year of high school. He took an official visit to OSU back in mid-June.
“I think it’s a great school,” Shaw told PFB. “I love the coaching staff. They’ve got all the facilities and, I mean, that’s just a good school overall.”
A four-star prospect, Shaw is the No. 51 player in the 2022 class, according to 247Sports’ composite system. He is entering his senior season at Link Year Prep in Branson, Missouri and plays on the AAU circuit with Mokan Elite.
Along with having good size and athleticism, Shaw is a hard-nosed defender and capable of guarding multiple positions.
Oklahoma State doesn’t have a commitment in its 2022 class, and it’s unsure at this time how many 2022 prospects Mike Boynton and Co. will take. Isaac Likekele is the only counting senior on OSU’s scholarship books this season, but Avery Anderson, Kalib Boone, Bryce Thompson and Moussa Cisse have the potential to make leaps to professional ball based on how this year goes.
