OSU Offers Class of 2023 Cornerback Braxton Myers
Cowboys get in early on an exciting playmaking corner.
Oklahoma State coaches, with an eye on the future, have extended an offer to a 2023 cornerback prospect. Braxton Myers, a cornerback for John Pall II High School in Plano, Texas announced his fourth offer on Friday via his Twitter account.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder had an impressive freshman season, breaking up 13 passes, grabbing five interceptions and recovering a fumble. His disruptive streak and nose for the football garnered him an offer from Colorado last December. UTSA and Florida International have since followed, and the Cowboys are No. 4 in a list that’s sure to grow.
Myers is currently unranked by 247Sports, but if he continues the above-mentioned production that will soon change. And if you can base anything on his gene pool, Myers has oodles of potential at the next level.
Myers’ father, Michael Myers was a touted defensive tackle prospect out of Mississippi that become a two-time junior college All-American before transferring to Alabama. He was a fourth-round draft pick that enjoyed a 10-year NFL career including six years with the Dallas Cowboys.
Whether or not he enjoys that type of success remains to be seen, but there’s little doubt that the younger Myers is a bit faster and more more athletic than his dad. Have a look.
