OSU Opens as Narrow Underdog at Home vs. Iowa State in Week 11
Ruh roh.
Another week, another game in which OSU is an underdog. Lather, rinse, repeat.
OSU opened as a 1.5-point underdog against Iowa State in Week 11 as the Cyclones prepare to face the Cowboys in Stillwater on Saturday, according to odds from Caesars Sportsbook. It marks the fifth consecutive week (!) in which OSU is an underdog after being dogs against Kansas, Kansas State, Texas and TCU in four straight games.
OSU has historically fared quite well as an underdog under Mike Gundy but in those four games, it has gone 1-3 and slid from a borderline playoff contender to out of the Big 12 title picture with brutal back-to-back losses to Kansas and Kansas State in consecutive weeks. With the health of QB Spencer Sanders still lurking as a possible uncertainty, the Pokes in the eyes of Vegas will be home dogs for just the second time all season — and to an Iowa State team that sits ninth in the Big 12 standings.
