OSU Players Surprised Mike Gundy with a Treat for his 54th Birthday

Mike Gundy is a man. He turned 54 years old on Thursday. So as a birthday surprise for their coach, some of his players surprised him with an after-practice treat:

A birthday cake.

The sweets were delivered by Spencer Sanders, Malcolm Rodriguez, Brennan Presley, Tre Sterling, Christian Holmes, Jaylen Warren and a few others. It almost looked like Rodriguez was ready to cake Gundy’s face — he grabbed Gundy’s neck and fake-dunked him — but Rodriguez (probably rightfully!) thought better of it, and Gundy quickly bobbed his way out of it.

Fall camp can be something of a slog, so it’s pretty great to see the players — and Gundy — keep things lose as OSU inches closer and closer to the start of the season.
