Oklahoma State recruit Jeffrey Bassa, one of the staff’s top targets in the 2021 cycle, will be making his final college decision soon between his current top three of OSU, Oregon and Utah.

Bassa told 247Sports.com this week that his decision will come down “in about a week or so,” which would be about a month removed from when he trimmed his list to three schools.

Bassa has made visits to OSU and Utah’s campus but not to Oregon, which offered him a scholarship in April. That hasn’t stopped the Ducks from surging for his services, however, with both national predictions in his crystal ball in favor of Oregon.

The 6-foot-3 Bassa is listed as one of the top-10 athletes in Utah and a top-900 national recruit. OSU is recruiting him as a safety in this class, so he’d join Muskogee, Oklahoma native Ty Williams as safety commitments for OSU this cycle if he were to pick the Pokes.

OSU has slowly made inroads into Utah, nabbing commitments last cycle from Salt Lake City safety Nicolas Session and Provo linebacker Mason Cobb.

To date, OSU’s 2021 recruiting class has 16 commitments overall, with seven believed to be committed to play on the defensive side of the ball.
