OSU Recruiting: Cowboys Offer a Pair of Junior College Linebackers
Cowboys looking to add depth in the middle of their defense now and in the future.

Oklahoma State’s linebacker group, headlined by Amen Ogbongbemiga and Malcolm Rodriguez was a pleasant surprise in 2019. Both return for 2020, along with Calvin Bundage, but all three will be seniors leaving the Cowboys with holes to fill in the middle of their defense and soon.
This week, OSU coaches turned to the junior college route, extending offers to pair of backers they believe can provide immediate depth.
DeShawn Page (2021)
On Tuesday, 2021 linebacker prospect DeShawn Page announced a Cowboys offer via his Twitter account.

Page was a three-star Class of 2019 prospect that boasted offers from the likes of Missouri and West Virginia before signing with Marshall. But before he could appear on the field for the Thundering Herd, he was off to East Mississippi Community College, of Last Chance U fame.
According to the school’s website, he racked up 36 tackles, 0.5 sack and a forced fumble in nine games this past season. Have a look at the highlights.
Out of Fulton High School in Knoxville, 247 Sports named tabbed him the No. 33 overall prospect from the state of Tennessee and the No. 50 inside linebacker in the country. He was named Tennessee’s 5A Mr. Football after totaling 76 tackles (66 solo), 12.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, a sack, a forced fumble and blocked kick. He also rushed for 809 yards and 11 scores at running back.
Page should be available following the 2020 season in time to add much-needed depth in 2021 should he accept the Pokes’ offer.
Lamont Bishop (2020)
Bishop announced a Cowboy offer on Sunday following his visit to Stillwater. This marks Bishop’s first Power 5 opportunity but he’s reported offers from UAB, Marshall and Southern Miss at the FBS level.

After putting in his second year with Iowa Central Community College, Bishop is a player for 2020. He’s somewhat unheralded but a quick peek below shows that he’s got a knack for making plays and harassing opposing QBs.
