The mother of four-star prospect Christian Brown, a 2019 forward who visited Oklahoma State on an official basis last week, says the two “loved” their time in Stillwater along with the energy from everyone they encountered.

“Loved the energy from the coaches, players and fans,” Ms. Davis said via SportsTalk Radio Network. “Even though they lost to Kansas, we were impressed on how they were in the game until the very end considering they only have seven scholarship players playing.”

Brown is being courted by OSU, NC State, Georgia, Clemson, Illinois and others, and while OSU doesn’t have a ton to offer in terms of proven track record under Boynton, Brown and his mother were optimistic that things will be turned around.

“There is a lot to look forward to with this upcoming 2019 recruiting class Coach (Michael) Boynton is bringing in,” she added. “Stillwater is a true college town, I would just have to get use to the weather compared to South Carolina.”

Brown has already made official visits to Clemson, Georgia, UNLV and most recently, OSU, meaning he has one left he can take. South Carolina and Frank Martin have ramped up their interest of late, and Illinois is vying for position, too. But thus far, he’s not decided where he’ll spend his last official — if at all — before making a commitment in the coming weeks.

If Brown were to commit to Oklahoma State, he would become the highest-ranked commitment in the 2019 recruiting class for OSU.
