Even the Cowgirls’ hot bats couldn’t hold off freezing temperatures in Memphis, Tenn.

Oklahoma State’s two scheduled games on Saturday were canceled due to weather conditions in Tennessee which include temperatures below freezing and snow.

The No. 10 Cowgirls leave the Memphis Tournament 2-0 after a 10-0 win over Memphis on Thursday and a 14-1 thumping of Central Arkansas on Friday. Both ended in the fifth inning.

The Cowgirls will hope for better weather during their midweek games in Texas before returning home next weekend.

The Cowgirls will be back in action on Tuesday when they face North Texas in Denton at 6 p.m. They’ll then head to Arlington to play UT Arlington on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The OSU Mizuno Classic starts Friday in Stillwater as the Cowgirls host Wichita State and Kansas City. Big 12 play starts on March 25 when the Cowgirls host Texas Tech for a weekend series.
