OSU Softball: Ruby Meylan Earns All-America Honors
Meylan is the 53rd All-American in program history.
Oklahoma State’s nation-leading streak of producing All-American softball players continued on Wednesday when pitcher Ruby Meylan earned a spot on the NFCA All-America second team.
She is Oklahoma State softball’s 53rd All-American ever and extends the streak to 10 consecutive years — every year of the Kenny Gajewksi era.

Meylan, a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 first team, finished the season with a 1.81 ERA and 238 strikeouts.
This was Meylan’s second All-American honor after previously appearing on the NFCA third team in 2023 following her freshman season at Washington. Four other transfer pitchers earned All-American honors playing for Gajewski: Samantha Show (2019), Carrie Eberle (2020, 2021), Miranda Elish (2022) and Lexi Kilfoyl (2024).
However, Meylan wasn’t the only Cowgirl honored on Wednesday.Â
Tallen Edward earned the Rawlings Gold Glove award, recognizing her as the best defender among third basemen. She finished the season with 112 assists, 33 putouts and only four errors while contributing on nine double plays. She ranked 14th nationally with 13.7 runs saved. Edwards entered the transfer portal following the end of the season.
