OSU Wrestling: Brevin Balmeceda Transferring to Life University
A former top recruit is headed to the NAIA ranks.
Brevin Balmeceda is on the move
Balmeceda, Oklahoma State’s top recruit for the 2019 class, is transferring to Life University, the program announced Wednesday.
Balmeceda, who was the No. 1 recruit in the country at 152 pounds in 2019 according to FloWrestling, went 19-5 during his freshman year at 149 pounds. He was removed from the roster during the 2020-21 season and did not compete but had returned to it this year before this announcement.
Life University is an NAIA program in Marietta, Georgia. Life won a national championship this past season.
