OSU Wrestling: Cowboys Roll Out New Mats for 2021
Of course John Smith got the first takedown.
Just in time for the start of the 2021 wrestling season, the Cowboys announced new wrestling mats for their home duals.
The mat has a black backdrop and orange circle featuring Pistol Pete on the center. There are Big 12 and OSU logos on the four corners and stripes similar to the Oklahoma State warmups starting at the top corners and meeting in the center.
In pretty hilarious fashion, John Smith broke in the mat by taking down one of the OSU events staff with his patented low single leg.
The Cowboys officially kick off the season on Sunday afternoon with Oregon State and Tennessee-Chattanooga.
