OSU Wrestling: Dusty Hone Will Be Back Next Season
One OSU starter announced he’ll be taking advantage of the NCAA’s extra year of eligibility.
Dusty Hone posted on social media on Wednesday that he’ll “be back.”
Hone was the starter for the Cowboys the last two seasons at 141 after injuries to Kaid Brock and became an NWCA Honorable Mention All-American last season after the NCAA tournament was canceled. Hone finished third at the Big 12 and Southern Scuffle tournaments last season.
Hone suffered an injury in the finals of the Cowboy Challenge tournament a few weeks ago and did not participate in the Bedlam dual.
The NCAA has determined that athletes this season get a free year due to the pandemic and seniors are eligible to come back if they desire.
