Peter Uihlein just missed shooting 59
Petey U. was so close to history on Friday in Scotland.
There’s never been a 59 on the European Tour and Peter Uihlein made a valiant run at ending that streak on Friday at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at Kingsbarns Golf Links in Scotland.
This was his putt for 59…
It would have been his third (!) eagle of the day.
He’ll have to settle instead for the 17th 60 in European Tour history. Uihlein is still three shots back at the tournament because of a first-round 71 though he and amateur playing partner Huey Lewis are currently T12 in the pro-am.
Quite the consolation prize.
Also, shooting 60 at Kingsbarns is ABSOLUTELY insane and anyone who has played there would agree.
