PFB Picks: Predictions for Oklahoma State’s Final Road Game at UCF
On paper, this is Oklahoma State’s last somewhat realistic chance to get a conference win and avoid going 0-9 in Big 12 play in back-to-back seasons.
The Cowboys kick off at UCF at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Here is how we see the game playing out.
Marshall Scott
Score: UCF 21, Oklahoma State 17
OSU Player of the Game: Gavin Freeman
Uniform: Black (Patriot Pete) — White — Black
Thoughts: This is a game OSU could win. If the defense plays like it did last weekend and the offense can do what it did last week minus the turnovers (or at least minus three of them), it could make for a magic weekend in Orlando. With that said, I’ve been waiting all season to see this OSU team put it all together, and it hasn’t, which is why I’ll predict UCF in a tight one.
It feels like receiver Gavin Freeman is due for a big chunk play, and Meacham saying Freeman “dies hard” earlier in the week basically locked in my selection for OSU’s Player of the Game.
Kyle Cox
Score: OSU 21, UCF 18
OSU Player of the Game: Zane Flores
Uniform: Orange (Cursive) – White – Black
Thoughts: Okay, here we go. I think this thing is going to finally break in the Pokes’ favor. They are facing one of the other worst teams in the Big 12 and despite the Knights’ passing defense and despite all the evidence we’ve seen on the field in 2025, I think the Cowboys have one conference win in them. Plus, it just feels like the type of weekend that this would happen. I can’t place my finger on why else.
Quarterback Zane Flores had four turnovers in a game the Cowboys lost by one score. I think he cleans that up a bit and the Cowboys pay it off. The Cowboys go O-W-B like they did when they got walloped in Orlando two years ago but this time they spoil Senior Knight.

Score: UCF 24, Oklahoma State 17
OSU Player of the Game: Rodney Fields
Uniform: White (Brand) — White — Black
Thoughts: If this game were at BPS, I’d seriously consider picking the Cowboys with how inconsistent UCF’s offense seems, plus OSU’s defense looked great last week. I think the Cowboys force at least one, maybe two interceptions this week.
Rodney Fields should be able to put together another strong showing this week.
I’m less certain about quarterback Zane Flores on the road. Fluky turnovers aside, he’s looked much better since returning to the lineup. He should look better this week, but it still feels like UCF forces him to turn the ball over a few times to seal this one.
