The Cowboys return to the confines of Boone Pickens Stadium looking for their first Big 12 win in more than 700 days.

Oklahoma State hosts Houston at 11 a.m. Saturday on TNT. Here is how we see the game playing out.

Marshall Scott

Score: Houston 28, Oklahoma State 20

OSU Player of the Game: Sam Jackson V

Uniform: Orange (Patriot Pete) — Orange — White

Thoughts: It’s hard to know what to think with a guy who started the season at receiver set to take over quarterback duties for the Cowboys on Saturday. I think Jackson’s ability to move will give the Cowboy offense a different dimension that will help OSU sustain some drives, but it’s hard for me to pick the Pokes to beat a 4-1 team then they haven’t beaten an Big 12 foe the past two seasons.

Kyle Cox

Score: Houston 21, Oklahoma State 13

OSU MVP: Rodney Fields Jr.

Uniform: Black (Brand)-Orange-White

Thoughts: The Cougars have given up nearly 200 yards on the ground over the last two games so I will give Fields the nod chew to up some turf. If he can do that, though, the Cowboys are going to be in a better spot that my score prediction indications. As far as the threads go, if the Cowboy are going to continue to put out a less-than-pristine product they might as well at least look good.

Tyler Waldrep

Score: Oklahoma State 23, Houston 21

OSU MVP: Wendell Gregory

Uniform: Black (brand) — Orange — Orange

Thoughts: This might be the team’s second-best chance to get another win this season. It couldn’t come at a worse time, with quarterback Zane Flores likely unable to go. That said, all five Houston offensive linemen rank 92nd or worse as pass-blockers in the nation. So Gregory and OSU’s other pass-rushers should absolutely feast in this one. I expect both offenses to struggle moving the ball through the air, at least while using traditional means. Kicker Logan Ward stays busy in this one, and with the help of a few OSU trick plays, he celebrates an FBS win with the Cowboys for the first time in over a year.
