PFB Picks: Predictions for Oklahoma State’s Season Finale against Iowa State
Predicting the end of the 2025 season.
This Oklahoma State team has one last shot to win a Big 12 game.
Oklahoma State hosts Iowa State at 11 a.m. Saturday in Boone Pickens Stadium in what will be the Cowboys’ season finale. Here’s how we see it playing out.
Marshall Scott
Score:Â Iowa State 24, Oklahoma State 21
OSU Player of the Game:Â Gavin Freeman
Uniform:Â Orange (Brand) — Orange — White
Thoughts:Â Doug Meacham said it best after last week’s game that some of these guys have done enough to deserve a win, but I’m juts not sure it’s going to happen.
There’s a world where OSU, in this last game before an era change, lets it all hang out and keeps the Cyclones guessing, but it’s just hard to pick the Cowboys when you’ve watched the past two seasons. I think the group continues to fight (because it has all season) but comes up just a bit short.
Kyle Cox
Score:Â Iowa State 23, Oklahoma State 17
OSU Player of the Game:Â Wendell Gregory
Uniform:Â Black (Cursive) — Black — Black
Thoughts:Â I won’t be picking the Cowboys to win like last week. The defense has shown me enough to predict holding the Cyclones below their scoring average, but the offense has shown me little to think they can get over the hump. I think the Cowboys will get some pressure on Rocco Becht with Wendell Gregory finally putting back-to-back sack games together. Give me a nice all-black look for a rainy Senior Day.
Tyler Waldrep
Score: Oklahoma State 24, Iowa State 21
OSU Player of the Game: Parker Robertson
Uniform: Black (Brand) — Orange — Black
Thoughts: I’ve said the entire year that this team has too many individually talented players to lose all 11 FBS games, so I can’t bail now, especially with the defense playing great the last two weeks.
I’m a bit worried that the Eric Morris announcement could prove to be a distraction, but seniors have one last chance to win and everyone else probably wants to impress the new head coach.
