PFB Predictions for Camping World Bowl Between Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech

Published

on

The final game day of the season has arrived, and the PFB has the #takes cannon loaded up and ready to make final predictions for the Camping World Bowl showdown against Virginia Tech.

Kyle Porter

Score prediction: Pokes 31-17
Game MVP: Justice Hill

VT can’t score with Oklahoma State so even an average offensive output against a top 10 defense will be plenty. That Hokie defense is solid but they’ve never seen anything like what Rudolph and Co. are bringing to the table.

Kyle Cox

Score prediction: Oklahoma State 38-27
Game MVP: James Washington

I think OSU hits on some big plays early care of Rudolph-to-Washington, Rudolph-to-Ateman and Justice. Tylan Wallace scores a TD. Justice carries it a lot more than he should with a comfortable lead in an exhibition game.

Thomas Fleming

Score prediction: OSU 37-24
Game MVP: Justice Hill

Hokies keep it close but the tempo eventually wears on them, osu has a huge third quarter and wins it thanks to a couple of turnovers. Hill gets involved early and OSU ‘s defense plays well against Jackson & Co.

Justin Southwell

Score prediction: OSU 56-24
Game MVP: The President

The Oklahoma State offense is too powerful even for this defense. I think Virginia Tech will focus more on stopping the run. Justice may not have the best numbers, but it will open up the door for the Biletnikoff Winner and Co. of Wide Receiver U.

The Hokies and Cowboys have a couple of games in common on their schedules.

WVU at VT (FedEx Field) – VT wins 31-24
Pitt at VT – VT wins 20-14
OSU at Pitt – OSU wins 59-21
OSU at WVU – OSU wins 50-39

The Cowboys won both of those games by more points and they did it on the road. They are without a doubt the more impressive team, so we should expect a blowout victory for the Pokes.

Phillip Slavin

Score prediction: OSU 38-28
Game MVP: Justice Hill

Virginia Tech might have the best secondary OSU has faced this season. However, this will be the best crop of receivers the Hokies have faced. Justice Hill will be the MVP with OSU rushing for over 200 yards and 2 scores. OSU gets creative, and scores early with an offense ready to end the season on a high note. Virginia Tech makes it interesting in the second, but never gets the score within single digits.

Matt Harris

Score prediction: Pokes 38-14
Game MVP: James Washington

Virginia Tech will struggle to move the ball without Cam Phillips, and Josh Jackson will have to find other weapons and get it done through the air to keep up. Brandon Facyson and the Hokies secondary will lock up OSU receivers early but they won’t be able to do it all night. James finishes as game MVP with 100+ and Rudolph2Washington goes out with a bang.

Ryan Harris

Score prediction: Pokes 56-24
Game MVP: James Washington

The Hokies will keep it close for a quarter, but the tempo of the Oklahoma State offense will wear on the Virginia Tech defense. The Tech offense won’t be able to keep up with the Pokes offense. Josh Jackson will throw an interception to Ramon Richards and #Rudolph2Washington cap off their incredible run together with several deep connections to add to their extensive highlight reel.

Kyle Boone

Score prediction: Oklahoma State 34, Virginia Tech 31
Game MVP: Mason Rudolph

I have no idea what to expect from Virginia Tech on defense, but if they’ve got half the goods I think they do, this will be a tighter game than we all want. I’ll take OSU in a close one as Mason Rudolph and the OSU offense does just enough to come away victors.
