PFB Schedule and Update: Pokes Get Florida State This Weekend

Published

on

The pumpkin spice is flowing, the holiday beards are growing (see below) and all the men I know are panicking because Christmas is in 14 days and none of us have gotten our gifts together yet. Luckily, you don’t have Oklahoma State sports to blame this week. The Pokes have most of the week off for finals before resuming Saturday with some men’s hoops against FSU and wrestling on Sunday.

Let’s look at the schedule, but let’s look at Gundy’s beard first.

Oklahoma State Games

• Saturday, December 16: Men’s basketball vs. FSU (in Fla.) — 1 p.m. on FS2
• Sunday, December 17: Wrestling at Reno TOC — All day on Flo

Oklahoma State Records

• Football: 9-3 (3rd in B12)
• Women’s soccer: 16-4-3 (Won B12)
• Men’s Golf: 2 Wins
• Women’s Golf: 1 Win
• Equestrian: 3-2 (1st in B12)
• Wrestling: 3-0
• Men’s basketball: 7-2
• Women’s basketball: 7-2

Oklahoma State Media Appearances

Media availability this week is up in the air again. It always is this time of year. There might be football availability later in the week, but that hasn’t been finalized yet. Same with hoops as folks are panic-purchasing scantrons prepping for finals.

PFB Coverage

We will have someone at football and basketball availability pending dates and times.

Contribution updates

We are at 322 contributors. That’s encouraging to me after a drop in November. We have leveled out and are hoping to inch that number up as the 2017 calendar year draws to a close.

This time next year, we would love to be able to afford to send somebody or multiple people to whatever bowl OSU is in. Your contributions will give us the opportunity to provide better and more robust coverage.

Thank you to those of you who have signed up, and I encourage those of you who haven’t (but enjoy our coverage) to do so.

Site/Staff Updates

Hayden Barber is signing off with a six-part recruiting feature that took him months of work and reporting. We loved having him on the #squad and wish him the best as he moves on to start his post-college career in Wichita.

As always we’re open to hearing from you guys for what you want to see more of — you can comment below or email us at pistolsfiringblog at gmail dot com.
