Pistols Firing Spring 2020 Internship

We have rolled out an internship program multiple times over the last few years, and believe it’s time to do so again. Keeping track of everything a mad mullet-wearing man says takes a village, and increasing the population of the village sure helps!

This time around we’re looking for somebody who can help us write and report on current teams, schedule and conduct interviews with former or future players, update our pages, assist with social media, moderate The Chamber and more.

While that is a load of responsibility, it will result in a terrific experience for some sports media majors currently at OSU. The foundational experience in how to run a website about sports in 2020 will be great for you (and we have a lot to learn from you–the next generation of writers and thinkers–as well). Additionally, if you meet the proper course requirements and the internship receives approval from Oklahoma State, you could potentially receive up to three credit hours towards your onerous graduation requirements.

So if you’re interested in a semester of experience, a potential future recommendation from us in the sports media world (it helped our own Kyle Boone land a gig at CBS Sports!) and joining our #squad, simply fill out the application below. We’re looking forward to having another great spring on the blog and hope you consider joining us.

This posting will close on Friday, November 8, at 5 p.m.

While you're here, we'd like you to consider subscribing to Pistols Firing and becoming a PFB+ member. It's a big ask from us to you, but it also comes with a load of benefits like ad-free browsing (ads stink!), access to our premium room in The Chamber and monthly giveaways.

The other thing it does is help stabilize our business into the future. As it turns out, sending folks on the road to cover games and provide 24/7 Pokes coverage like the excellent article you just read costs money. Because of our subscribers, we've been able to improve our work and provide the best OSU news and community anywhere online. Help us keep that up.
