Poll Question Tuesday: Does Oklahoma State’s Hiring of Jim Knowles Excite You?

Normally I have to think for a while about the Tuesday Poll Question (there will be jokes), but this week’s was fairly easy: Does Oklahoma State’s hiring of Duke defensive coordinator Jim Knowles excite you?

Knowles was announced on Monday evening by Mike Gundy on Twitter, and he comes to OSU after guiding the Blue Devils’ defense to a top-25 defensive points per drive performance in 2017.

At the outset, it seems like a bit of an uninspiring hire. Knowles runs a 4-2-5 defense, which Gundy has insinuated he wanted to start running, and I supposed Duke being the 22nd-best defense in the country is nice. But their schedule wasn’t exactly awe-inspiring.

This hire screams “change for the sake of change” to me, but I want to hear your thoughts both on Twitter and in the comments below. We’ll come back later in the week and post the best stuff we see.
