Reggie Bush Makes the Case for Chuba Hubbard to win Doak Walker Award
A former Doak winner is pining for Chuba.
The annual Doak Walker Award, given annually to the top running back in college football, is Chuba Hubbard’s for the taking.
Just ask former Doak Walker Award winner Reggie Bush.
“I think Chuba Hubbard is the Doak Walker Award winner,” said Bush in a video posted to social media this week. “He’s been consistent all year, he leads the FBS in rushing yards, he’s second in rushing touchdowns.”

That’s enough to make Oklahoma State folks giddy. Bush is past Doak Walker winner, a past Heisman winner, and one of the most talented and versatile tailbacks to ever play college football. That he’s actively pining for Hubbard to win the award for the best running back should certainly bode well for his chances.
“The one thing I love about him, his patience, his vision, he always seems to be in control,” said Bush. “Once he sees the hole, he explodes through it. I think he’s the Doak Walker Award winner.”
