The Reload is PFB’s recruiting recap catching you up to speed with the latest Oklahoma State recruiting news, with an ear to the ground for what to expect.

Three-star linebacker DaShaun White names OSU in top 7

OSU is looking to add to its stable of linebackers in the 2018 class alongside inside backer Blake Barron and outside backer Kolby Peel, and North Richland Hills product DaShaun White has long been the top target. He narrowed his list of top schools from 20 to 7 this week, and included OSU along with Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, OU, TCU and UCLA.

White is a versatile outside linebacker who said recently a connection with graduate assistant Andre Sexton has earned OSU a chance in his top group.

“Believe it or not, I actually have my best relationship with [graduate assistant Andre Sexton],” he told Rivals. “He’s been talking to me since one of my games last season and started recruiting me early … He’s a coach that makes me feel at home, so with that, that’s really the biggest thing for me.

White is a 6-foot-1, 205 pound talent who OSU is targeting at the star linebacker position.

2019 receiver La’Vontae Shenault offered

In the 2017 cycle, OSU was a major player for four-star wide receiver Laviska Shenault of DeSoto, Texas, and now OSU is in the mix with 2019 receiver La’Vontae Shenault — Laviska’s younger brother. La’Vontae is quickly rising on the recruiting trail with eight offers — six coming in the month of May alone.

La’Vontae has also garnered offers from West Virginia, Kansas State, Illinois, Utah, SMU and Colorado. SMU and Colorado were the only two schools to extend an offer while Laviska’s recruitment was still open. He played behind his older brother and K.D. Nixon, two highly touted prospects who signed with Colorado, and could be primed for a big season at DeSoto after hauling in three touchdowns last season.

2018 offensive line commit talks about comfort with Henson

Tuttle, Oklahoma offensive lineman Hunter Anthony committed early in the process after OSU brought back Josh Henson to take over coaching duties on the offensive line. He says his relationship with Henson was a major factor in his decision.

“It’s a great relationship,” he told Nate Feken of KFOR, “especially when he’s here and his family is here. It made it easy. I really liked OSU before he was there. Then when he came there it really sealed the deal — I knew I wanted to be a Cowboy.”

Below are some highlights of the 6-foot-7, 330 pound Anthony,  who stands head and shoulders above his Tuttle teammates.
