The Reload: Cowboy Back Recruiting Taking Off, Four-star Safety Eyeing OSU
The Reload is PFB’s new recruiting nightcap, which will catch you up to speed on the day’s events surrounding Oklahoma State recruiting with an ear to the ground on what to expect in the near future.
Four-star safety names OSU in top 7
Montaric Brown, an elite safety from Ashdown, Arkansas, named OSU in his top 7 schools along with LSU, OU, Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, and Arkansas. Brown made an unofficial visit to OSU for the spring game earlier last month, and the Cowboys seem to be squarely in the mix. Arkansas currently resides as his favorite and his “dream school”, but with the Cowboys drawing a visit already, Brown’s interest appears to be high. More importantly, the Cowboys lose Derrick Moncrief and Jordan Sterns next season, and have plenty of playing time to offer at safety. Something an elite high school safety would almost certainly consider.

Tight end/Cowboy back recruiting
Usually on the recruiting trail, coaches don’t tip their hand as to who a top priority may be on the board.
That is unless you may find yourself in a decent spot with said recruit. And on Monday evening, Cowboy backs coach Jason McEndoo made it known he just finished facetiming the “#1 priority” AKA — 2017 tight end Nick Robinson of Putnam City West.
That moment when you FaceTime ?? w/ the #1 priority on the recruiting board from the 405 ??? pic.twitter.com/EcPlgQBQjl

Oklahoma State was nearly in on the ground floor with his recruitment three months ago, where he named the Cowboys his early favorite. He has since blown up on the recruiting trail with offers from Baylor, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Houston, Tennessee, and a whole slew of others. The 6-4, 220-pound freak is a defensive end for PC West, too, but projects primarily as a tight end for the Cowboys. He’s an athletic prospect who also won a state basketball championship this past season.
Additionally, McEndoo also tipped his hand to the other targets on the board with this tweet:
@pottsmike I'm am ? 4 the best guys in the 405 ? 425?229?972?939 ???? #GoPokes https://t.co/GXE6vLFnmw

Translation:
405 = Nick Robinson
425 = Hunter Bryant
229 = Lecitus Smith
972 = Dallas area (multiple recruits in the area)
939 = Puerto Rico area … Your guess is as good as mine.
And one more cowboy back tidbit…
Momentum is building & TE's far & wide are taking notice! When the ☎️ rings from the 832 to talk about @CowboyFB ?‼️ pic.twitter.com/m6JdrSyiKr

Another translation: 832= 2018 four-star tight end Mustapha Muhammad. Big time play maker from Missouri City, TX, who has offers from Alabama, Baylor, Clemson, Florida State, and OSU … 24 reported offers in all.
Arlington Defensive End Reports OSU Offer
2017 defensive end David Anenih, a 6-3, 200-pound prospect from Arlington reported an offer from OSU on Tuesday evening on twitter.
Extremely blessed to receive my 6th offer from Oklahoma State University!! #Gopokes pic.twitter.com/fSOHaN467d
— David Anenih (@DAnenih) May 10, 2016
Anenih is an intriguing hybrid prospect who fills nicely in a linebacker/defensive end role for Timberview High. Size wise, he could certainly grow into a defensive end for Glenn Spencer, although he may be a bit undersized. He projects to slide into a more natural fit at the star linebacker position where he could use his versatility to rush the passer with his speed and disruption, and wouldn’t be required to put on an insane amount of pounds before he could get to playing weight in Stillwater.
His recruitment is just being discovered. He picked up his first offer the end of April from East Carolina. Since then, he has also gained offers from Rice, Southern Miss and New Mexico, and most recently from OSU.
