Report: Calvin Bundage Expected to Redshirt, Return for 2020 Season
Haisten reports Calvin Bundage will be back in 2020.
After months of speculation, there might finally be a few answers in the Calvin Bundage saga.
Bundage is expected to miss all of the 2019 season, but return to OSU for a redshirt senior season in 2020, the Tulsa World‘s Bill Haisten reports.
Early in the season, OSU coach Mike Gundy said it was a back injury keeping Bundage out. Gundy often said it was hard to tell with a back when Bundage would be able to return.
“I don’t have anything on him. I told you when I did I’d let you know,” Gundy said the last time he was asked about Bundage’s status at a Monday news conference.
Bundage has started 20 games in his OSU career where he has accumulated 129 total tackles, 14.5 of which are for loss. He has 4.5 sacks in his career.
Having Bundage next season would add some needed depth to the position group. The Cowboys will lose Kevin Henry and Philip Redwine-Bryant to graduation. Cole Thompson and Jeff Roberson are committed linebackers in OSU’s 2020 class.
